Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)

Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) have become a very important key component for the tube bending industry over the past few years, especially because of the simple interface to CNC tube bending controls such as the BendPro.

CMM’s can be networked to your office network and BendPro CNC control via simple Ethernet connection. This allows the end user to connect their inspection department directly to the equipment running their parts. With the popular modular version of CMM packages available by top manufacturers such as Multi Systems, Romer, Axila, and others, inspecting and reverse engineering has never been easier.

How it works:

Reverse Engineering:

Simply measure all points of the part you wish to reverse engineer with your CMM. Send data to the bender control. Run one part and remove part from machine, measure, send correction to bender. The next part will be perfect…..pretty simple.

First Run Parts:

Program part per print specifications. Run one part on the machine, check with CMM, the software will calculate all the correction to the part program, send corrections to the control, . It will adjust bend angles that may be to shallow or overbent, it will adjust for material stretch….. all of which takes place in minutes.
